I walked through the streets of Bikaner when a man greeted me from the rooftop, offering a coffee. Though I thought that he would definitely try to sell me something, I accepted the invitation. I was seated in a plastic chair - the only one on the roof -, got a very good coffee and we had a really nice chat about India and Europe, at least within the limits of his English. Sometimes his son helped to translate.
Soon I was surrounded by the rest of the family and on the rooftops around people emerged and watched us, too. That was maybe a bit awkward. But since they were so friendly and everybody was smiling, it was simply a great experience. I love it when such unexpected things happen. =]
